Curren$y's slowly beginning to grow on me. Call me odd, but I don't hop on the d**k of every new rapper that surfaces like everyone does. People have to get my attention. You have to make me hear you and make me want to listen to you. The fastest way to get me to NOT listen to an artist's music is to tell me they're hot, call them "the next (insert name here", or repeatedly beat me over the head with what you think of them.
Before a few weeks ago, Curren$y, by no fault of his own, fell into the aforementioned category I like to call "Rappers I Ignore". Thanks to Mr. Bey playing one of Spitta's tracks at his otherwise lackluster performance at Ruby Skye, I became intrigued. Now, I'll keep an eye on Curren$y but he still has things to prove to me.
