Twitter, more often than not, can be a silly place. #lotion vs. #nolotion.

I've been waiting for this track to hit the net ever since Mos played it at his show at Ruby Skye. 24 Hour Karate School is the nickname Mos gave to DD172 in case you weren't aware. Now, Curren$y just need to let loose that "King Kong" joint Mos also played. [via]

I'm excited to see Corinne coming back with new music.  More artists should take their time with their music and release it when they feel it's ready instead of flooding us with content year after year. Take a look as Sade. She definitely makes her own rules. One of the keys of longevity in this ever-so fickle music business is retaining your value, not cheapening your stock and making your fanbase wait for you. [via]

Collectively, the DMV has been responsible for this year's best hip-hop. The group known as Diamond District (yU, Oddisee & X.O.) are largely responsible for that. Who's gonna carry the weight in 2010? My money's on NC. Don't sleep. [via]

For El Michels Affair and Wu Tang Clan fans, the release of the Enter the 38th Chamber project is a dream come true. And the next single "Can It All Be So Simple", featuring the lyrical stylings of Portland natives, Sandpeople, is guaranteed to satisfy fans worldwide. Often described as "a beautiful fusion of talent and dependencies" this ten member gathering of hip-hop artists take the classic urban track and add their own flavor. Emcee Gold, one of the Sandpeople members, had this to say on the creation of the track "I pictured the record as being one part "an ode to" and one part "our take on the concept". I figured we should embellish on the lines that made the song so timeless and with sapient singing the hook it brought everything full circle." Mission accomplished.
