I started this blog in May of 2008. Originally, this site was just home to a CD rip­ping guide which became pretty pop­u­lar. I then con­verted it to a blog and began post­ing about var­i­ous things I found inter­est­ing. From the lat­ter months of 2008 until the end of March, I pri­mar­ily posted hip-hop, R&B, and­info about upcom­ing con­certs. I've never had a 'real' name for the site.

I recently decided that from now own, I'm going to focus on pro­mot­ing music, films, and peo­ple whom I find to be an asset to their par­tic­u­lar craft and make con­tri­bu­tions through expres­sion in their respec­tive art forms. My posts will be pri­mar­ily hip-hop related (as you can prob­a­bly tell from the new name) with an occa­sional post of var­i­ous other things that I still find inter­est­ing like a lot of my pre­vi­ous posts. The name I finally decided on, HipHopIsCoolAgain, derived from a song by Oddisee which I posted mid-March from the Mental Liberation EP.  I've posted that song below for your lis­ten­ing plea­sure and I hope you enjoy.
