Dog With A Rope on Tru Thoughts, is the sec­ond album from Quantic Presenta Flowering Inferno, the trop­i­cal dub/reggae side project that Quantic intro­duced to the world with 2008’s highly acclaimed Death Of The Revolution. With the Flowering Inferno, Will ‘Quantic’ Holland brings dub and reg­gae flavours to the Latin American and African sounds that he has been chas­ing round the globe since he first started col­lect­ing records.

Alice Russell is a English female soul singer from Framlingham in Suffolk, for­merly signed to the Tru Thoughts label. Recently known for singing on tracks with Will Holland's Quantic and Quantic Soul Orchestra, she has also per­formed the lead vocals on a cover of The White Stripes' hit Seven Nation Army with Nostalgia 77.

Alice's new stu­dio album, Pot Of Gold, is sched­uled to be in stores November 24th. This is the first release on her own Little Poppet label.

Today's song is from the album, Under The Munka Moon, released in 2004. Alice is per­form­ing live tomor­row evening in San Francisco, CA @ The Independent. Tickets are $15USD. Doors open @ 8:30pm. The show starts @ 9pm. See you there.
